Christmas Market

Christmas Market The RMA MusicBand would like to invite you and your partner to the annual Christmas Market at the Royal Military Academy on Wednesday 16th of December 2009.

As tradition states, we will have our own Christmas booth were special beers like Vedett and Duvel will be served.
You can also see our Brass Band in action while you eat some of our delicious 'Bitterballen'.
Also don't forget to give the game 'hit the nail' a chance at RMA MusicBand stand.

Bedanking - Remerciement

Beste muzikanten en sympathisanten, Via deze weg wil ik jullie allen bedanken voor de inzet gedurende het afgelopen jaar. Chers musiciens et sympathisants, Chères musiciennes et sympathisantes, J’aimerais vous remercier pour votre dévouement pendant l’année passée.

We zijn er samen in geslaagd om een groot aantal activiteiten af te werken, waar we allemaal trots op kunnen zijn. Ik hoop alleszins dat jullie evenveel muziekplezier hebben beleefd als ik! On a réussi à effectuer un grand nombre d’activités, desquelles on peut tous être très fiers. En tout cas, j’éspère que vous vous êtes aussi bien amusés que moi, en jouant de la musique!

Dankzij het CadettenTamboerKorps van de Koninklijke Militaire Academie van Breda hebben we de mogelijkheid gehad om dit muzikale academiejaar af te sluiten met een knaller van formaat (om het dan maar op z’n Hollands te zeggen). Grâce aux CadettenTamboerKorps du Koninklijke Militaire Academie à Breda, on a eu la possibilité de conclure cette année académique avec une grande finale.

Verder zijn ook voorstellen en opmerkingen voor de volgende jaren zijn steeds welkom! Ik verwacht ook enkele gemotiveerde mensen om het bestuur te vervoegen! Si vous avez des propositions ou des remarques pour l’année prochaine, contactez-moi! Je cherche bien naturellement aussi des gens motivés pour le comité de l’année prochaine.

Ten slotte wil ik iedereen enorm veel succes wensen tijdens deze examenperiode!
Pour conclure, je veux encore vous souhaiter énormement de succes avec les examens!

Arrival new promotions!

newsart New promotions have entered the Royal Military Academy (RMA). This beginning is a special experience in their military career. The new promotions take their first steps in military life and life in the Royal Military Academy. These first steps into the RMA will be an everlasting memory. The RMA MusicBand has therefore taken part in these military ceremonies.

The RMA MusicBand has provided musical support during the official granting of the blue berets and the new promotions' arrival in the RMA after first weeks of military formation.

The RMA MusicBand is not only a group of musicians, but also students who can make transition to life in the RMA more easy by playing together and support each other.

Run & Remember: 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th July

newsart The Run & Remember project is an intensive project spread over a four day period and it's organization is in the hands of the students of the Belgian Royal Military Academy (RMA).

The first part of the project's name, "Run", refers to the 48-hour lasting relay running competition which passes through the 10 Belgian provinces, thus following a route stretching over 560 km.
The departure takes place in Arlon in the south east of Belgium and the arrival is achieved in Ypres, the last line of defence during the First World War.

The second part, "Remember", refers to the commemoration of the fallen soldiers during the First and Second World War. In respect of this commemoration, at least one military ceremony is being held in each Belgian province.
The RMA MusicBand is providing musical support on these military ceremonies, not only because the RMA MusicBand exists out of the Student-Officers and Officer-Students of the Royal military academy, but also because our members believe in the importance of remembering the many fallen soldiers during the two World Wars.

Feedback: Open Doors RMA

This year the open doors at the Royal Militairy Academy were yet again a great succes for the RMA MusicBand.

The musical performances of the different groups were highly appreciated by the visitors, students and other military personel of the Royal Military Academy.

The committee would like to take the opportunity to thank all musicians and logistical help.
Open Doors RMA

Opendoor Every year the Royal Military Academy opens his doors for visitors. The RMA MusicBand will provide musical entertainment during this day.

All the different divisions will present their repertoire. During this day it will also be possible to meet the musicians and ask for more information concerning the RMA MusicBand at the stand next to the Bar.

Musical Weekend

Musical Weekend Traditiegetrouw trekt de RMA MusicBand elk jaar naar Genk en Zonhoven om samen met haar zustermaatschappijen respectievelijk het 'Groot Genker Orkest' en de 'Koninklijke Harmonie sint-Quintinus' deel te nemen aan de muzikale optocht.

Dit jaar was niet verschillend van de andere. Vanaf zaterdag 2 februari tot en met zondag 3 februari 2008 heeft de RMA MusicBand in samenwerking met beide andere groepen het beste van zichzelf gegeven. Enkele repetities ter plaatsen gingen de feitelijke parades vooraf. Deze verbroedering zorgde voor heel wat plezier voor alle leden.

De stoet was niet de enige activiteit, de verbroedering voor en na is allerminst onbelangrijk. Op deze dagen krijgen de RMA MusicBand leden de kans om in contact te komen met mensen die dezelfde passie delen.

Bij deze, bedankt aan alle deelnemers, onze zustermaatschappijen en niet te vergeten het RMA MusicBand bestuur zonder wie dit alles niet mogelijk was. We kijken al uit naar ons volgend treffen.
